Building Process

This is the time to talk with Mitroteam’s builders, draftsmen and architects about your building ideas and seek their advice. Together, we’ll draw up your plans and prepare them for the next stage: approvals.

Depending on the complexity of your project, receiving council approval can take some time, so it’s a great idea to get started early. Once approved, you’ll receive the required documents for your build, such as the BASIX report, water stamps, and the engineering report. Our team will use these documents to apply for your construction certificate.

Up to this point, we’ll have provided you with a preliminary cost for facilitating your building plans and approvals. Now that we’ve determined the full scope of your project, we can create a full quote for your consideration and talk you through the building process and insurances. You’ll receive a contract that outlines the project timeframe, with a proposed start date for construction.

Our friendly and hardworking construction team will commence work on the date agreed upon in your quote. Using quality, cost-effective materials, they’ll get your project underway and keep you updated on its progress. Sometimes, variations can take place during your build. For example, you might like to change your choice of doors and windows or upgrade to an automatic garage door. We’ll make sure you’re informed about how these variations affect your project’s cost.

In our final meeting with you, we’ll discuss your warranties and answer any lingering questions you may have. Your supervising builder will then perform an official handover of your project, which means it is now ready for you to use and enjoy.
